We wish you a heartfelt and warm welcome to Ukraine and to the final of the UEFA Champions League. We are extremely pleased to be able to host guests from Europe and the rest of the world in the glorious city of Kyiv and at our country’s main football venue, the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium, where I am sure you
will have a wonderful experience and enjoy a football match of the highest possible order.

Millions of football fans from every corner
of the planet have wonderful memories of this stadium, which was the venue for the UEFA EURO 2012 final, as well as one of the quarter-finals and several group stage matches during the tournament.

This evening, we are also delighted to welcome the two finalists of the continent’s premier club competition to the NSC Olimpiyskiy, Real Madrid CF and Liverpool FC.

Щиро вітаємо Вас в Україні та ласкаво просимо на фінал Ліги чемпіонів УЄФА! Ми надзвичайно раді приймати в славному Києві гостей з різних країн Європи та усього світу і бажаємо Вам незабутніх емоцій від неперевершеного футбольного дійства, яке відбудеться на головній футбольній арені нашої країни – НСК «Олімпійський». Мільйони шанувальників футболу з різних куточків планети чудово пам’ятають цей стадіон. Саме тут відбувалися матчі групового етапу Євро-2012, а також поєдинок чвертьфіналу, та історичний фінальний матч чемпіонату Європи.

Сьогодні ми з великою приємністю та теплотою вітаємо на НСК «Олімпійський» фіналістів найпрестижнішого клубного турніру – ФК «Реал» Мадрид та ФК «Ліверпуль».

Федерація футболу України щиро вдячна УЄФА за можливість проведення цього великого футбольного свята в столиці нашої держави. Я впевнений, що ця історична подія дасть потужний імпульс для популяризації футболу в Україні та сприятиме залученню до гри і здорового способу життя дітей та молоді, що є основним пріоритетом і для ФФУ, і для УЄФА.

Бажаю усім вболівальникам, гостям та учасникам фіналу приємних та яскравих вражень від перебування в Україні, і незабутньої гри двох чудових команд!

The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) is grateful to UEFA for the opportunity to host this great celebration of football in our capital city. I am convinced that this historic occasion will provide a powerful impetus to the promotion of football in Ukraine, and help encourage children and young people to embrace the game and, more generally, a healthy lifestyle, which is a major priority for both the FFU and UEFA.

I hope that all fans, guests and participants involved in tonight’s final come away with plenty of enjoyable and vivid memories from their stay in Ukraine, and I look forward to seeing an unforgettable game between two great teams!
